Wojciech Dużyński

 
 


Wojciech Dużyński - Doctor obtained his medical degree from Medical University of Gdansk. After postgraduate fellowship he started his training in neurology at the Department of Neurology of the St. Wojciech Hospital in Gdansk-Zaspa, where he continued his work as a neurologist. In 1999 he obtained a PhD degree in medical science from Medical University of Gdansk. His main interests include neurophysiology, extrapyramidal system disorders, including treatment with botulinum toxin. He acted actively in the Extrapyramidal Disorders’ Section of the Polish Neurological Association and he was a board member for several years. Since 2002, he has been working as a neurologist in Sweden, initially at Eskilstuna Hospital (Sormland) and since 2005 as Senior Consultant at the Clinic of Neurology of Malmö/Lund University Hospital, which is the clinical centre of the University of Lund. He is responsible for the coordination of the management of spasticity and dystonia in Malmö and Lund clinics. He serves as a consultant responsible for the performance of polyclinics in Malmö. He is also an academic teacher at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Lund. In 2004 he completed a 3-month training in the Laboratory of Neurophysiology of the Uppsala University. He organizes practical training and lectures in Sweden and other Nordic countries on the treatment of dystonia and spasticity with botulinum toxin. He is a member of the SWEMODIS (Swedish Movement Disorders Society), Swedish Medical Association and INA (International Neurotoxin Association).
